Organizing Feedback
Once your couples have completed the PREPARE/ENRICH assessment online, their reports will be available in your account (when you log in with your Facilitator ID and password).
Making Faith-Based Selection When Registering a Couple
If a PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator wants the couple to take a faith-based version of the assessment, they would pre-select which version they want as they register their couple for the inventory. The assessment then automatically includes the relevant items for that faith tradition.
Understanding the Stress Profile
In today's fast paced society, it is impossible to avoid stress in our lives. A recent poll of 1,000 U.S. adults and found 47% of respondents feel more stress today than they did 6 months ago. The number one source of stress cited in the poll was "personal finance concerns" (Booth Research, 2008).
Understanding the Idealistic Distortion Score
Idealistic Distortion assesses the tendency for individuals to respond to statements in a socially desirable manner. It measures the extent to which a person distorts their relationship in a positive direction ("rose-colored glasses syndrome").
How to Understand the Revised Individual and Couple Scores
The PREPARE/ENRICH assessment is unique because it utilizes two different types of scores for each content area. As a result, you will have two different perspectives on the couple relationship.
Relationship Dynamics
The "Relationship Dynamics" scales in PREPARE/ENRICH assess four personal and interpersonal dynamics: assertiveness, self-confidence, avoidance, and partner dominance. These scales were designed to increase the Facilitator's understanding of individuals and how these characteristics are related to underlying couple dynamics.

Understanding Couple Types
Through research studies of thousands of premarital and marital couples, specific types of couples have been identified. These types are based on statistical analysis of Positive Couple Agreement (PCA) scores across the nine core content areas of PREPARE/ENRICH.
Using Couple and Family Maps
The Couple and Family Maps were derived from Dr. Olson's Circumplex Model of Marital and Family System. The Circumplex Model is one of the most popular and scientifically-tested models for understanding and treating couples and families.
